Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 1, 2026

The General Aviation Association of Israel (AOPA Israel) is committed to making its website and digital services accessible to all people, including persons with disabilities, in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Accommodations), 5773-2013 and Israeli Standard SI 5568.

Our Accessibility Efforts

We strive to ensure our website meets the required accessibility standards, including:

  • Full keyboard navigation with clear, visible focus indicators.
  • A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
  • Screen-reader compatibility: ARIA roles, labels, and announcements for dynamic updates (shopping cart, error and status messages).
  • A logical heading hierarchy and defined landmark regions.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, with decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
  • Forms with associated labels, required-field indicators, and error messages tied to their field and announced to screen readers.
  • Sufficient color contrast (Level AA), with information never conveyed by color alone.
  • Dialogs and menus that trap focus, close with the Escape key, and restore focus to where you left off.
  • Respect for the system "reduce motion" preference, minimizing animation accordingly.
  • Support for browser text resizing and, on Apple devices, the system text-size preference (Dynamic Type).
  • Multilingual support (Hebrew, English, Arabic) with correct text direction (RTL/LTR) and language metadata for correct screen-reader pronunciation.
  • Minimum target sizes for interactive controls.

Accessibility Standard

This site was designed and built to meet Israeli Standard SI 5568 at Level AA, which is harmonized with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) at Level AA. We strive for full conformance and fix issues as they are identified.

The association has appointed an accessibility coordinator responsible for advancing accessibility and handling the public's accessibility enquiries:
